STOPs & STARTS USA Hockey News & UPDATES The USA Hockey Mobile Coach app is now available in an iPad version, which gives coaches more options to log in for great information. Mobile Coach App Continues To Take Off A fter charging out of the gate, the recently released USA Hockey Mobile Coach app is about to hit warp speed with the launch of the iPad version. By the end of November, the Mobile Coach had been downloaded more than 17,000 times on Android and iPhone devices. Now coaches with iPad tablets have a new way to consume the hundreds of skill manuals, drills and videos. The iPad version includes a soup-to-nuts whiteboard where coaches can create and animate drills and share them with players, parents and other coaches via email. Coaches can also take video and photos with their iPad and pull that content into the app. Or they can take a photo of a goaltender and then draw on the picture to show proper positioning. This year, to kick the sixth annual event into high gear, USA Hockey is launching the CCM ���Pick Six��� Sweepstakes with three grand prize equipment packages highlighting its daily giveaways. Each day of Hockey Weekend Across America, which runs from February 15���17, CCM will award a special prize pack to one lucky fan, who can select six items from a list of CCM equipment and apparel, including protective equipment, sticks, jackets and equipment bags. USAHOCKEYMAGAZINE.COM National Championships Going Places With Toyota There���s no doubt that those who compete at the USA Hockey National Championships are driven to succeed. Now they will be able to get there in style as USA Hockey has teamed up with Toyota, one of the world���s most prominent automobile manufacturers, to sponsor the Toyota-USA Hockey National Championships. The ultimate youth hockey tournament in North America dates back to 1949, and currently features approximately 7,000 athletes facing off in 19 divisions for amateur hockey���s holy grail. While some details of the sponsorship are still being worked out, Toyota will be on site at the seven National Championship host arenas when the puck drops on March 20 for the start of the high school tournament, and April 3 for the start of the youth and girls��� events.
