For the first time ever, goalies will gather from all over world to compete against each other in a monumental event. "You should see the looks on kids' faces when they walk in. They're treated like professional hockey goaltenders," says Walsh, founder of the event. Goalies go through eight stations – five shooting and three agility – including the obstacle course, a fan favorite. They compete against the best in the region for a chance to reach the finals in Florida. "Growing up, this is something I would have loved to have participated in," Walsh adds. This year's goalie competition will also include the first-ever International Sniper Competition, open for all forwards and defensemen. Regional qualifying events will be held this spring into early summer in Milwaukee, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Windsor and Thunder Bay, Ont.
