Snag's annual presentation of student work beyond borders Sponsored by the Aaron Faber Gallery Canadian Room Thursday, May 16th 11:30–11:45am (Part 1) Friday, May 17th 11:00–11:15am (Part 2) Saturday, May 18th 9:45–10:00am (Part 3) Beyond Borders is a 3-part digital presentation that represents the talent, creativity, and hard work of students everywhere. Powerful and inspirational images from students pursuing certificates, associates, bachelors and master's degrees. This presentation was not juried, and all submitted work came from faculty, not from the individual students. Fiona McCulloch, North Glasgow College: Untitled Brooch, hand-fabricated from silver, coloured sapphires, citrine, rhodium-plated Organizer and Presenter Brian Ferrell is a metals and wood artist from Southwestern Pennsylvania who creates one-of-a-kind furniture and hollowware. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Del Mano Gallery, Society for Contemporary Craft, Center for Art in Wood, and Craft Alliance. He has also been honored with solo exhibitions at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Appalachian Center for Craft, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. Ferrell's work has been published in American Craft Magazine, "500 Tables", and "Pewter Studio", and is in private collections in the United States and Europe. Ferrell is active in the studio craft genre with a video series "Craft in Sight", in conjunction with Crafthaus. He holds a BFA in jewelry/metals from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an MFA in Metals from the Program in Artisanry at University of Massachusetts—Dartmouth.
