AutoQuotes FAQ's By Rob Mor gan , Ex ecutive Vice Pr esiden t I would like to run some Q: weekly statistic reports on the projects we create in AQ360. AQ360 allows you to filter and sort projects a number of ways: by dates, by name, by salesperson, etc. Once you have a list of projects that you want, you can create a new single spreadsheet with some additional information columns by merging them together (leaving the original projects intact). Exporting this merged spreadsheet to MS Excel gives you further control over manipulating the data to create graphs and detailed spreadsheets. and you can export to Excel if you want to create your own reports. the manufacturer/buying group to you and then you would import it. Simple instructions for how to create the importable file can be found online at http://blog.aqnet.com/?p823 What is the Kitchen Police When we get an update from AQ, how do I know what's new? We automatically pop up a screen the first time you open the program after we post an update that outlines the newly added features. We also post this same information in our forum. Q: I've got a manufacturer with I want to know how much Q:quoting my company has Q:tons of special prices that I done of a particular manufacturer this year. Use the PO History button. Select a manufacturer. Select a date range. Check the PO box if you ONLY want results from projects with PO numbers assigned; if not checked, you get all of the projects for the manufacturer you selected. You can sort by any column, don't have the time to enter one at a time. Is there a better way to handle entering special prices? We have a function called the Deviated Price Import, which allows a dealer to import a file containing the special pricing (net, list, or discount). Typically, the file would be sent from The Cantina Q:Button in AutoQuotes for? It allows AQ users to report catalog errors and earn spiffs. This has been a very successful program and everybody wins when there is clean, accurate data to create quotes. Why do I have a Send button Q:in AQ360? The SEND button emails hard copy PDF's for quotes (send to customers), rep quote requests (send to the rep email address in Mfr Setup), and PO's (send to the PO email in Mfr Setup). If a customer is an AutoQuotes user, he receives a copy of the project in his project list (AQ360 users) or a PXF email (AQNet or Version 5 users). If your customer is NOT an AutoQuotes user, your local email opens as if you pressed the email button. Yes. You have access to view every report you print or send for a particular project. Every time you print or send a quote, a PO, or other report from AQ360, it's added to the report log for that project, where you can click on it to view it again. This gives a history of what you sent. (See chart to the left.) continued on page 35
