The Story Behind the Kitchen Police The Kitchen Police program was launched in effort to increase the volume and the accuracy of product content distributed by AutoQuotes. A volunteer group of AutoQuotes users 'Serve and Connect' the AutoQuotes community by alerting us to omissions and inaccurate commission of content. These citations are researched and once corrections have been made, our "detectives" are rewarded with a spiff check and/or a Kitchen Police t-shirt. Join the conversation. Just click the Kitchen Police icon located in the upper tool bar (AQ360 only) or send our "Chief of Kitchen Police," Juan Rivas, an email at kp@aqnet.com. To Serve and Connect By Nan cy Nelson very day AutoQuotes increases the volume of catalog content available to its users. There are 552,000 models with specifications, list prices, brands, configurations, and physical characteristics; 393,429 product pictures, including single shots, and many group shots for tabletop items; and 248,685 spec sheets for equipment items. Recent additions to AutoQuotes content include utilities information, CAD symbols and Revit families, product videos, owner's manuals, and parts lists. We are constantly reaching out to our manufacturers to expand our information and the end result is a multifunctional catalog where all information associated with a product is readily available—in one place. The Catch-22, of course, is that the quest for expansion makes the demand for accuracy that much greater. Every detail of every item added to AutoQuotes must be reviewed carefully before publication. Still, we aren't perfect and mistakes happen. This is where our customers prove to be our most valuable asset. You, the end user, spend hour upon hour digging through the AutoQuotes catalog continued on page 31 E AQ Designer gives you the ability to create your AutoQuotes project while laying out your CAD drawing. "I love how simple quoting and designing is with AQ Designer," says Krebs Brothers Sales Consultant David Campbell. "When I first began working for my company, graph paper and pencil were the tools used in conjunction with AQ. This was an incredibly tedious process. What used to take me a week with graph paper and pencil, can now be done in a few hours." 22 FEDA New s & View s
