44 Covetrus | covetrus.com What inspired the practice to join VetSuite? We joined VetSuite because we saw it as a great opportunity to improve how the practice ran day-to-day. Before joining, things could get pretty stressful around here. We were looking for ways to streamline our systems by taking advantage of things like the rebates and integrated credit card processing. We really wanted to find a way to make workflows simpler so we could focus more on our patients and less on the stress of manual tasks. How has VetSuite impacted you, personally? I do the ordering in our office, and VetSuite makes finding and ordering our products so much easier. Before, I'd have to spend a lot of time looking for things, but now I can get my ordering done rather quickly. It has actually cut my ordering time almost in half. That's a huge time saver for me because I still work as a technician on the floor, and it allows me to get back to my patients faster. Overall, the entire office environment is a lot less stressful now. We are able to get more things accomplished in a day, which has made VetSuite a great asset for our team. How has being part of the VetSuite network benefited your clients? The biggest benefit for our clients has been the huge improvement in the checkout process. Before VetSuite, we didn't have anything directly connected, so we had to enter credit card payments in one place and then transfer them to another. Little mistakes could create a lot of extra work. Now, with VetSuite direct connect payment processing, everything goes straight into the computer. It's so much smoother, which helps clients get through checkout and out the door faster. They really appreciate not having to wait around, and it's better for the pets too. Less time spent in the lobby means less stress for everyone. What does being part of the VetSuite network mean to you? For us, being part of the VetSuite network has helped us keep our independence. There are a lot of corporate veterinary offices out there, but a lot of people like small, family-owned practices. So it's important to have them, too. With VetSuite, we're part of a group of independent clinics, and that gives us better buying power. We're very proud that we can remain a small, family-owned practice, and VetSuite gives us that opportunity. In the heart of South Pasadena, Florida, Nicki and her small, tight-knit team at Furever Friends Veterinary Clinic are proving that being a tiny, privately owned practice doesn't mean you have to settle for less buying power or slower workflows. Hi. My name is Nicki. I work at Furever Friends Vet Clinic located in South Pasadena, Florida. We're a privately-owned, single- doctor practice with a very small staff — three or four technicians, three or four assistants, a few receptionists. We're a tiny, but tight-knit group. — Nicki D.
