Three Things to Know About Pools
1. A 2001 study by the California Urban Water Conservation
Council showed that swimming pools and irrigated
lawns in California use approximately the same amount
of water per square foot of surface area.
2. Using a pool cover will reduce evaporation up to
95 percent, while also reducing algae growth and
heating costs.
3. You no longer need to drain and refill the up to 20,000
gallons of water in the average pool every few years.
Service companies will bring a mobile reverse osmosis
system to your home and recycle your pool water so that
you never need to drain your pool again.10
