The Dazzling Sights
"ABOARD THE ANOSTRACA"
"This is a view of the burning of the man from the deck of an art car
built by a group from Big Sur in the shape of a ship, using reclaimed
lumber from the Del Monte Skating Rink. The burn is surrounded by
68,000 participants, and starts with fireworks that go on for quite a
while before the structure is fully engulfed in flames. It puts to shame
every fireworks display I've ever seen. The scale and scope of that
experience was absolutely epic."
