AUTOCROSS EDITOR By Rudy Rodriguez When winter comes, it marks the end of the autocross season. It's a sad note, but true. When I reflect on the autocrosses season, the last one is always the worst for me, because I know that my Porsche will be parked for the next four months. If you missed the last one you will have to wait until next year in order to test your Porsche to its handling limits. The list included: 911s, Boxsters, Caymans, Panameras, and even an MG... Hey who let that guy in?!? In November, we held our last autocross for the year. The turnout was excellent and the weather was very cooperative. Hot coffee, water and fresh donuts were provided to help fight the cool weather. We had twenty-three participants, by far the most for the entire year!!!! Most Porsche models were well represented. 24 Autocross Seasons Ends with the Best Turnout of the Year! That list included: 911s, Boxsters, Caymans, Panameras, and even a MG. Hey who let that guy in? Just joking. Everybody was a good sport and the times were all competitive. The top three times were Christian Els at 1:11.1, Jason Whitney at 1:13.0, and Richard Bennett at 1:13.3. Good job guys! In closing, I would like to thank the following people for their support this year in helping me organize the autocrosses; Jack Bishop, Richard Bennett, my wife, all of our PCA instructors and any others that I may have forgotten. Without these volunteers, Kansas City would not have an autocross program. Most importantly, I would like to thank all the members who participated in all the events this year. See you next year.
