RETAILOBSERVER.COM FEBRUARY 2014 44 THERMADOR OFFERS COOKING SURFACE INNOVATION The iconic American kitchen appliance brand, Thermador, will introduce the next generation of rangetops, ranges and cooktops in 2014. Known for providing luxury appliances with true performance and show-stopping design features, the new Thermador cooking surfaces will offer culinary enthusiasts more ways to enjoy the cooking experience in their homes. In April 2014, trimless version of the innovative Freedom ® Induction Cooktop will be introduced, featuring a solid black surface for a more seamless integration of the cooking surface into the countertop. The new trimless Freedom Induction Cooktop will also be 36-inches, like the current trimmed model, and feature the same patented technology – including the natural-mapping user interface that intelligently recognizes cookware size, shape and position to deliver heat without boundaries, and allows cooks to use pots and pans of any shape and size and place them anywhere on the surface. The current trimmed version of the cooktop will also continue to be available for cooks who prefer the design option of a stainless steel trim around the surface. In August 2014, home cooks will enjoy the next generation of surface cooking for the Pro Rangetop, Pro Harmony ® Ranges and Pro Grand ® Ranges with the introduction of the Thermador Professional Grill. At launch, it will be the only Professional Grill on the market to offer exceptional grilling performance – without the flare-ups – that can be kept clean over multiple uses and over time. The Professional Grill grates are thermostatically controlled with PTFE/PFOA (Teflon)-free non-stick coating that makes cleanup simple, and provides the true cooking performance expected from Thermador. The Professional Grill is designed as an alternative to the existing Thermador electric griddle and grill plate, and will feature lava rocks and a cooking experience that more closely resembles using an outdoor grill. Juices collected in the lava rocks provide genuine smoked grill flavor, while the grill features two independently controlled heating elements that allow cooks to place foods such as vegetables on one half of the grill at a lower setting and meats or fish on the other half at a higher heat setting for ultimate results time and again. With the introduction of the Professional Grill, culinary enthusiasts will have more flexibility when selecting their ultimate Thermador surface cooking appliance, including the option to feature the Professional Grill and the electric griddle side-by-side, and a mix of options when selecting the number of Thermador Star ® Burners and grill/griddle desired for their unique cooking needs. THE PLACE TO BE DURING DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION WEEK During Design & Construction Week, Bosch and Thermador are showing the sneak preview of their newest product offerings at Booth #C3837, alongside another leader in the kitchen: Caesarstone. Together, these three brands will offer a showcase of inspiring kitchen design – including an exclusive preview of unique colors from Caesarstone – in a stunning booth created by award-winning kitchen designer Mick De Giulio.
