Asian
Mosaic
As varied as their teas,
tongues, and traditions,
Asian nations are a vibrant and diverse
mix of countries, all with different
cultures—and different attitudes about
business and business education.
Here, three b-school deans from
Singapore, India, and Thailand
address the challenges they
face as they position their
schools to be global players.
They all agree that business
schools across Asia cannot
survive if they merely follow
a Western educational model.
Instead, their students must
be immersed in local customs,
cases, and curricula. And stu-
dents and administrators alike must
be poised to make sure business ideas
flow not just from West to East, but
also from East to West.
