one commonality that you can
see, feel and hear is that Porsche
owners share a bond with their
machines and their friends that
is rarely found in the automotive
community. At breakfast we
strategize about the all important
positioning within this mornings
fun drive. Do we choose the
front of the pack which provides
a somewhat cerebral effect to the
drive or do we choose the tail
of the pack which can provide
some slow motion mind numbing
corners that will leave you and
your Porsche smiling for days.
It takes some coercing to get
Spencer Cochran on board as
Spencer's thoughts are already
leaning toward this afternoon's
festivities and the fact that he
noticed the lack of guard rails on
the twisty roads as we approached
Eureka Springs. We reassure

the crowd, as his friend for the
weekend Sean Coffey knows that
the drive will be superb. That's

applied a few coats of glaze
ourselves, it's just that Spencer
has applied that many on any
given month.
The drive, as many in a
Porsche, is spectacular. The
combination of great roads on
a warm fall Arkansas day are
very hard to beat. Toward the
middle of the drive there is a
planned break at the War Eagle
Mill which is adjacent to a single
lane bridge. Our friend Murray
Steeble finds another owner of a
black 944 Turbo and spends some
