KYLE starts it off:
I blame my Porsche addiction
on my father. However, I would
assume that there are worse
addictions in this world that sons
can blame their fathers on.
Between countless 944s,
a Boxster, and a Cayenne, I've
owned my fair share of these
awesome rides in my short life. The
Cayenne aside, I'm currently in-
between sports cars. The Boxster
is out, but I hold high hopes of
upgrading to a 997 Cabriolet. As I
stated previously, it's an addiction.
And on a side note, being a member
of KCRPCA for three years now,
I've noticed the prognosis doesn't
improve with age...
Let alone from the Porsches,
another craving my father and I
share is competitiveness... mainly
towards each other. Whether it is
DIY home remodeling projects,
sharpshooting, golf, tennis or
catching the fattest largemouth bass,
there is no room for compromise.
Too much ego is at stake! This
is why we love what KCRPCA
Autocross has to offer. It's always a
challenging course set up by Rudy
Rodriquez and gang, with state-of-
the-art timing equipment run by
Rudy's awesome wife (unless King
Richard Bennett runs it over), and
a fun group of KCRPCA members
that are looking to take their driving
skills to the next level.
All humor aside, I don't know
why it took me all of these years to
finally try out an autocross. It was
such an intense and euphoric feeling
I am the King of the family in
autocross, period. Enough said -
because I am the "Father".
