A start like any other turned out to be anything but for sophomore hurler Dan Langfield against Kennesaw State, February 25, 2011. The Somerset, Mass., sophomore struck out 16 in 7.2 innings pitched, second-most in school history and also the second-highest C-USA mark ever in a single contest. Langfield struck out the side in the second and seventh innings before being chased in the eighth. He nearly tripled his previous career high in strikeouts (six) in his first- ever double-digit strikeout outing.
