RETAILOBSERVER.COM JUNE 2014 20 THERMADOR UNVEILS NEW SURFACE COOKING INNOVATION Luxury kitchen brand introduces professional grill featuring industry-leading design and new trimless Freedom ® induction cooktop Thermador is introducing new, industry- leading surface cooking innovations that will be available to consumers in 2014. During Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas the brand offered a sneak preview of its new Professional Grill, which will be featured on the Professional Rangetops, Pro Harmony ® and Pro Grand ® Ranges, along with a new trimless design option for the Freedom Induction Cooktop. "Thermador is continually reimagining new possibilities in cooking to offer culinary enthusiasts ultimate performance combined with flexibility, attractive design and technology that no other manufacturer offers. Our new surface cooking products deliver on that," said Zach Elkin, director, brand marketing, for Thermador. "Unveiling these products during Design & Construction Week was important to the brand, so our valued trade partners could be the first to see the newest Thermador innovations that bring added value, smart design and cooking flair to today's luxury kitchens." THERMADOR PROFESSIONAL GRILL In August 2014, Thermador will introduce the next generation of surface cooking for the Professional Rangetop, Pro Harmony and Pro Grand Ranges with the introduction of the Professional Grill. This surface cooking feature boasts industry-leading design, featuring lava rocks and grill plates that fully cover the heating elements to offer exceptional grilling performance and genuine smoky flavor without the flare-ups. The Professional Grill features a wide variety of low to high temperature control for better taste, texture and quality – something not commonly offered on other indoor grilling products. Additional features include: • Two independently controlled heating elements that empower home cooks to place foods such as vegetables on one half of the grill at a lower setting, and meats or fish on the other half at a higher heat setting. • Intelligently designed grates that are placed in direct contact with the heating elements to produce fast preheat and excellent searing that performs like a gas grill. • During each use, the lava rocks collect juices that drip down from the grill plates to provide genuine smoke flavor, with excess drippings collected in a grease tray underneath. • The grill can easily be disassembled, with removable grill plates that are dishwasher safe and hinged heating elements that fold up so the lava rock basket can be removed for easy cleaning of the grease tray – a truly exceptional cleaning feature that is unmatched in the industry. The Professional Grill is designed as an alternative to the existing Thermador electric grill and griddle plate currently featured on the Professional Rangetops, Pro Harmony and Pro Grand ranges. With its introduction, cooks now have more choices than ever when selecting their ideal cooking surface. For example, on the 48-inch dual fuel ranges, there will be an option to feature both the Professional Grill and the electric griddle plate side-by-side, along with four Star ® Burners. The full variety of surface cooking options that will be available for the Professional Rangetops, Pro Harmony and Pro Grand ranges include: • 36-inch with six Star Burners • 36-inch with four Star Burners plus griddle plate • 36-inch with four Star Burners plus Professional Grill • 48-inch with six Star Burners plus griddle plate • 48-inch with six Star Burners plus Professional Grill • 48-inch with four Star Burners plus Professional Grill and griddle plate I N D U S T R Y [ N E W S ] continued on page 24
