community lending a hand in the17 Since Windy Thees began the University of Memphis softball program, the Tigers have made an effort to be a port of the community through service. Memphis softball student-athletes have volunteered their time to help Habitat for Humanity build a home in the Memphis area. The Tigers have also volunteered the last two years at the Civil Rights Museum where the team helped visitors through lines and various stations.. The U of M also annually participates in the Tiger’s SAAC food drive. The team also joins other C-USA softball players in school visits during the conference tournament.
