Nance was also a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at Memphis. She totaled 11 home runs in her three-year career and hit the U of M’s first grand slam against Lipscomb at the Tigers’ temporary home in Southaven, Miss. Vanessa Walle became just the second Tiger to hit a grand slam last season in a 7-1 victory at North Florida. Walle also pitched a three-hitter in the game.
