July / August 2014 15 clips in each fender to remove. Once all that is out, you can pull the fender liner away enough to use a flat blade screw driver to push the clip of the side marker light in and remove the light. Unclip the electrical connector and set aside. There are 2 phillips screws to remove, one directly on the side of the bumper, and one pointing upwards behind the fender liner. Once they are removed, you can pull the bumper away from the car (it is a good idea to tape the edge of the fender where it meets the plastic bumper cover so you don't scratch anything. Set the bumper on a set of sawhorses or carpet to keep it from getting scratched. Next up, you will want to remove the radiator shrouds. T25 torx screws (5) hold it in place. Removing the shroud will allow lots of dirt and debris to fall out. Next you are looking at the A/C condenser which is mounted to the radiator via 2 torx screws. Doesn't look too bad does it? Think again. You can carefully wiggle the condenser out of the way without breaking open any A/C lines to get a good look at the radiator. (The first picture we have completely removed the condenser as we are building a race car, you do NOT need to crack open the lines!) These pictures tell a little different story! Look at how clogged that is! That does not help the cooling system at all (nor the A/C efficiency either!) From here, a good pressure washing will help blow all that junk out of the fins and allow the air to once again flow through like it should! If you don't have a power washer (and leaving the condensers attached), you can drive bumper-less to the local self service car wash and use their pressure washers wand to clean out the radiator and condensers (a drive through wash will not do you any good, so don't attempt that). Just make sure to secure the fender liner with the clips before driving off so they don't rub on the ground or tires! After cleaning all that out, your car will run cooler and more efficiently, plus you can have a shot at beating Spencer Chocran for that people's choice award at your next car show. - Karl
