I can't help but smile. The
911 may be the Porsche of
dreams for many enthusiasts,
but many mornings I grab the
keys to my 944 Turbo first.
Apparently I am not alone.
The KCRPCA has a high
number of 944 owners. And
today, three wet redheads
were left in the parking lot.
And I am smiling.
I am smiling at the vision
in front of me. The weekly
PCA breakfast was finished
and a small spring shower had
just blown through. Several
of us were hanging around,
glad that we no longer had
yard work to do. We stepped
outside into the fresh air. The
clouds were rolling past, and I
paused for a moment.
The memorable moments
of owning a Porsche are
too many to count, holding
the keys for the first time or
soloing on a DE, and this,
this is one of them. Simply
walking out on to a rain soaked
parking lot, lightning in the
distance, and your car waiting
for you, patiently. Maybe the
car is the one smiling.
A Gathering of Redheads
RAIN OR SHINE
