Sarah Mathews was a household name in Memphis-area prep golf before joining the Lady Tigers in the fall of 2009. Since donning the blue and gray, she has played in 18 events and held a scoring average of 78.9 strokes per round. A 2009-10 NGCA Academic All-American, Mathews also sets an example in the classroom. She turned in her career-best performance at the 2009 UAB Fall Beach Blast, posting rounds of 74-73 en route to a second-place individual finish. Mathews also carded back-to-back rounds of 73 at the Bobcat Invitational to finish third individually and lead Memphis to the title.
