Planned gifts include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, gifts of property subject to life estate, gifts of life insurance or gifts of retirement plan assets. Such planned gift arrangements may result in far more significant gifts for CMU than may be possible during the donor's lifetime. Terri Anthony '78 Charles R. Baker Robert M. Bartlett '52* Jeffrey D. To some, the word "change" means that something is broken, or needs an overhaul or just the plain uncertainty of things. To others, the word "change" means hope, promise or opportunity. I am in agreement with those who look at the word "change" in a positive light. The "change" I see at Central Michigan University will be an ongoing and forever changing landscape. CMU, as well as our College of Communication and Fine Arts, is embracing change in an effort to be sustainable for our incoming college students. Students have a wide variety of institutions that can meet their needs. I may be a little biased, but I truly feel that CMU is a first-rate university when it comes to a high school student's decision-making process. One key element that makes CMU attractive to potential students is our alumni network. In CCFA, we have thousands of alumni in a wide variety of places doing a lot of great things in society. We've got alumni who run TV stations, who are movie/TV stars, who own baseball teams, who own PR firms, who are world-class authors, who are world-class artists, who star on Broadway, who own wineries, who host radio shows, who have won Grammys, and the list continues on and on. I invite you to help me embrace the "change" that CMU strives for by raising your hand to help recruit the best and brightest students to Mount Pleasant. Alumni like you can help to ensure hope, promise and opportunity for our future students. If you would like to directly help CCFA "change" the landscape of our fine institution, feel free to contact me at 989-774-1698 or bacze1mc@cmich.edu. Fire up, Chips!
