2009-10 review Carter leads league in scoring Brittany Carter made quite the impression on the league in her first year as a Tiger. The sophomore sensation led Conference USA in scoring, hitting the 30-point mark three times during the season and scoring 20 or more points in 15 games. Carter scored double-digit points in the final 18 games of the season, including 31 points in the championship game of the WBI. On the season, Carter scored 654 points, the most-ever for a Tiger sophomore, and the 8th-best single season total in Memphis’ 38 years of basketball. Carter was the lone double-digit scorer for Memphis in 2009-2010, drawing the focus of many team’s defensive schemes and still finding a way to average 19.2 ppg. Carter also hit game-winning buckets on the Tigers’ final possessions at Missouri, at UCF and at UTEP. 48 | 2010-11 University of Memphis Women’s Basketball Experience POISED Reƒdyƒnd
