memphis athletics i am a tiger...Hear me roar On the field, Memphis athletics continue to compete with the best in the nation. Among the recent highlights, the football team has gone to bowl games in five of the last seven years, and the women’s soccer team has won three- straight Conference USA Championships. The Tiger men’s basketball team has reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in four of the last five seasons, and made the Elite Eight three times during the span. The baseball team received an invitation into the NCAA Tournament in 2007, and the men’s soccer team won the C-USA Championship in 2004.
