FORMER MEMPHIS HEAD COACH CHRIS BARTELS (1988-98) oWns the SCHOOL RECORD FOR CAREER VICTORIES WITH 110. The rich history of Tiger soccer is littered with exceptional athletes who have left their imprint in the annals of Memphis lore. Sean Fraser (1998-01) finished his career as the all-time leader in points scored with 109. Rogerio Lima, who finished second all-time in assists, is now a soccer coach in the Memphis area. Former keeper Brooks Monaghan (1992-94) still holds the school record for shutouts with 24; he continues to serve the university as the women’s head soccer coach. Another former keeper, Sebastian Vecchio (2003- 04) has the best career goals against average of 1.02, highlighted by his school-best 0.69 season in 2004. Memphis had the privilege of stellar coaching even before Richie Grant took the helm in 1999. His predecessor, Chris Bartels (1988-98) still owns the school record for career victories with 110.
