c-usa honors < With three-straight Conference USA championships, University of Memphis women’s soccer has a crowded list of players earning All-C-USA honors and C-USA Player of the Year awards.The Lady Tigers have claimed four C-USA Player of the Year honors with Ashley Berra (2009), Vendula Strnadova (2008) and Shoko Mikami (2005) claiming C-USA Offensive Player of the Year honors. Kelsey Bakker earned C-USA Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2009. All-C-USA honors have come to the student-athletes of the Memphis women’s soccer program in huge numbers the last three seasons. Eleven Lady Tigers have claimed All-C-USA honors in the past three seasons as Memphis has claimed three-straight C-USA Championships. The program boasts a total of 30 student-athletes that have earned All-C-USA honors in the programs 15 year history. As a program on a national level that recruits the top talent, Memphis women’s soccer has had 15 freshmen named C-USA All-Freshman Team award winners.
