recently had the privilege to represent PSA at the Skills USA
contest this past June in Kansas City. I was one of the judges in
the Major Appliance and Refrigeration Technology division.
There were about 16,000 contestants in all 110 categories. What
a show it was. The best of the best from all 50 states competed in
all categories.
Seeing the quality of young people that made it from the state
level to the Nationals was eye opening. Almost everyone that I
judged received a score of over 90% . You would be proud to have
any of these contestants part of your company.
The top three winners in the Secondary were: Alec Brown of
Miami, FL with 866 points. Jessica Martins of New Bedford, MA
with 810.5 points. Wyatt Hardy of Newark, MD with 746.5 points.
The three top winners in the Post-Secondary were: Aaron Fihle of
Kansas City, MO with 843.5 points. Robert Hopt of Renton, WA with
839.5 points. Daniel Brunette of Chattanooga, TN with 829 points.
