89 Jeff Kupper Director of Football Operations Texas, 2002 Second Season BIO Jeff Kupper is in his second season as the director of football operations. He joined the Tigers after spending five seasons in a similar capacity at Columbia University. In his role with the Tigers, Kupper is the "go-to guy" for many administrative duties, including team travel, camps and community service events. He is also instrumental in communicating with the student-athletes on a daily basis regarding practice scheduling and team meetings. Kupper graduated from Texas in 2002 with a B.A. in religious studies. Jason Gregory Director of Player Personnel UALR, 2004 First Season BIO Brian Hill SWOSU, 2005 First Season BIO Brian Hill enters his first season with the Tiger football strength and conditioning program. He joins the Memphis coaching staff after previously working with football at Tulane University last season. Hill has also served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Northwestern State in Louisiana (2007-09), a volunteer strength and conditioning coach with the Cleveland Browns in August 2008, and assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northwestern State (2006-07). Jason Gregory joined the Tigers' football support staff in June 2011, accepting a position as the director of player personnel. Gregory comes to Memphis after serving the last two years as the director of football operations at Arkansas State. He had also previously worked as an offensive graduate assistant in 2007 before spending the 2008 season as the director of football operations at Northern Arizona University. Gregory made his move to collegiate athletics after coaching at two of the most-successful high school programs in Arkansas. Ryan Cidzik Head Football Strength Coach Susquehanna, 2001 Second Season BIO Rod Brown Asst. Football Strength Coach Asst. Football Strength Coach Memphis, 1994 Second Season BIO Former Tiger letterman Rod Brown was named a football strength and conditioning assistant in July 2011 after assisting in the department during the 2010 season. A teammate of Coach Larry Porter, Brown lettered as a linebacker from 1990-93. He finished his career at Memphis with 238 tackles, including 14 TFL, in 41 games played. His best season was as a senior in 1993 when he posted 108 tackles and six sacks. Brown coached football and taught physical education locally at Ridgeway, White Station and J.P. Freeman. 2011 Memphis Football Experience Ryan Cidzik is in his first season as director of strength and conditioning after serving last year as assistant director. Prior to joining the Tigers, he spent two years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in the NFL. Cidzik most recently worked with the New York Jets, where he was directly responsible for the physical development of all offensive and defensive linemen, while assisting with skill and mid-skill players. Before his time with the Jets, Cidzik was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Cleveland Browns.
