The Lady Tiger program has flourished on and off the field since head coach Brooks Monaghan's tenure began back in 2000. The squad has claimed four-straight National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Awards, the 2009 C-USA Sport Academic Award, 14 CoSIDA/Capital One All-District IV selections and two NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-Americans. Since Monaghan's first season in 2000, the team has not posted a composite grade-point average below 3.0.
Monaghan, the 2007 C-USA Coach of the Year, can look at the program in 2011 and see that his players have grown as players and people. The Lady Tigers have claimed four-straight C-USA Championships en route the program's first four trips to the NCAA Tournament, 11 C-USA Player of the Year honorees, 27 All-C-USA honorees and 12 All-C-USA Freshman team selections. Under the guidance of Monaghan, the program has two NSCAA All-Americans in Ashley Berra and Vendula Strnadova.
