Vintage Outdoor Fair Comes to Monterey W arren Rosen is having a moment. He has been in a love affair with art and antiques his whole life. By day, he is fervently marketing his newly launched Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market; by night, he is sharing with friends gourmet meals, wonderful wines and his latest wellspring of inspiration. Having owned his own gallery in the past, Rosen is still an avid artist. Graduating with a BFA in painting and drawing, followed by an MA in multimedia, his creative spirit and enterprising presence prevail while buying and selling art. He hails from Aptos. Producing events is not a new experience for him. While this is the first antique market he has promoted, his resumé boasts years of experience in producing events in California and New York. Recognizing the need for a monthly antique market in the Monterey area, Rosen diligently spent a year marketing his outdoor venue, designing ads, directing television commercials and seeking out hand-picked ven- dors for his show. His hard work has paid off. The Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market is booming. Over 100 antique dealers from all over California travel to Monterey on the third Sunday of each month, setting up their goods at Monterey Peninsula College. Eclectic offerings range from antique tools, saddles, mid-century retro, vintage garden, Victoriana, coastal antiques, leathers, clothing, art, charming wood furniture, industrial, farm, rare jewelry and fabulous architectural pieces. There are food trucks, a gourmet coffee hut, and tons of free parking. He has now turned his gaze to Santa Barbara as his next outdoor venue. Rosen's goal is to have 150 vendors for this market. There are spaces available, but catch him while you can, as this is about to be the most sought after outdoor antique market on the Central Coast. The market is held Feb. 22, March 15 and April 19.
