Tehama Golf Club members and their
guests enjoyed a private concert by
John Lloyd Young, who won the Best
Actor Tony Award in 2006 for his "Jersey
Boys" role (photo below, right). The
elegant evening included dinner, and an
introduction by Eastwood himself.

tricts nationwide. He's working closely with sev-
eral schools in Iowa, supporting programs that
demonstrate how art, music, dance and theater
lessons result in lower absenteeism rates, fewer
discipline problems and better performance
across all subjects.
"The point is not to create the next genera-
tion of artists, dancers and musicians, although
some students will become those things. It's to
demonstrate that a creative impulse running
through your school every day makes the cul-
ture of that school much better," he says.
With so many projects in the works, Young
enjoyed his recent leisure time at Tehama. It was
the first visit for the Sacramento-area native, and
he spent one afternoon exploring the property
by golf cart. At one point, Young found himself
surrounded by turkeys and deer.
"I've been jetting to cities all over the coun-
try, and all over the world, for the last few years.
To go to a place where you're regarding the
deer, about 10 feet away from you, and you're
on their territory," he laughs, "that was such a
wonderful, relaxing experience."
