At Canlis, Franey earned the title Best New
Chef by Food & Wine Magazine and is a three-
time finalist for the James Beard Best Chef:
Nor thwest award.
At 1833, Franey wants to redefine "fine din-
ing" — or maybe toss it out altogether.
"I just want to work at a great restaurant
that makes amazing food," he says. "[At Canlis]

do. CLM has given me a little more room to
grow and be creative."
