RETAILOBSERVER.COM MARCH 2015 22 BUILT BETTER TO LAST LONGER Through its network of independent appliance retailers, Speed Queen ® has provided homes with durable, commercial- grade laundry machines for more than a century. Inevitably, time demands new products, technologies and innovations; Speed Queen has remained selective in altering its proven performers over the years. If technology contributes to greater efficiency and superior wash quality while preserving a machine's commercial qualities and longevity, Speed Queen delivers. With the unveiling of an all-new product line with electronic controls and other updated features, that time is now. "The new product line offers the same reliable machines customers expect from Speed Queen, now with enhanced controls and technologies that take commercial-quality to the next level," says Jay McDonald, Vice President of North American Home Laundry Sales for Alliance Laundry Systems. "As with every Speed Queen product, we stand behind their long-lasting performance, unbelievable wash quality and industry leading warranties – qualities other manufacturers simply cannot offer the home market." Full-feature electronic controls are now available on several new products: a completely redesigned front load washer, top load washers, dryers and stacked washer/dryer. Features include a time remaining display, customizable favorite cycles, additional rinse cycles and moisture sensing. Both the machines and controls have been tested to deliver 25 years of performance in the home, and come with an industry-leading warranty of either three or five years on all parts and in-home labor. FRONT LOAD WASHER Now with Dynamic Balancing Technology, which helps minimize vibration and noise, the front load washer delivers quieter and smoother operation than ever before. This technology pairs with a 440 G-Force extraction speed for less residual moisture, faster cycles and faster dry times, while patent-pending baffles cascade water throughout the entire load for the best possible wash results. Four models are available – three with electronic controls and one with a mechanical control. TOP LOAD WASHER The new top load washer line carries many features of previous models – full tub wash, full tub rinse, hot water and 28-minute cycle times – and now offers an Eco-Normal cycle. This cycle provides a full tub wash with a spray rinse to reduce water consumption, and the machine's 210-degree agitator delivers a superior clean. The line consists of three models: two with electronic controls and one with a mechanical control. DRYER Speed Queen's newest dryers are designed to reduce utility costs and prevent over-drying. Full-featured electronic control models now allow for customizable drying cycles, including an Eco Cycle, to conserve energy. Additionally, moisture sensors stop cycles at the exact dryness level selected based on the load and a sophisticated airflow pattern ensures loads dry at optimum efficiency. Two mechanically-controlled machines are also available. STACKED WASHER/DRYER This space-saving combination unites the long-lasting qualities and technologies of Speed Queen's new electronic-controlled front load washer and dryer, in half the square footage. From 1908 to today, and from the home to the harshest of commercial environments, Speed Queen makes no compromises when it comes to providing the most reliable laundry equipment available. In return, customers know machines will perform how and when they're supposed to – load after load. Customers continue to choose commercial quality, and it's now more advanced than ever before.
