I Am a Tiger I a Hear Me Roar Hear Me Roar
As men's soccer coach Richie Grant says, being a Memphis Tiger is a privilege. More than becoming a great U of M soccer player, it's important to Grant that each and every one of his players be- comes a valued alumnus that learns and grows from his experience at Memphis.
Being a Tiger is a demanding job. Work- outs, practices, games, classes and study- ing are a big part of each U of M soccer player's life, but there are other aspects of the Memphis soccer experience to consider.
The tradition of Memphis soccer dates back to the early 1980's; a 30-year institu- tion of hard work, integrity and winning that is carried on by each player that dons the blue and gray is instilled by a coaching and support staff steeped in Tiger lore.
To be a Tiger is to be an ambassador of the University of Memphis, the city and the U of M Athletics Department. The Tiger experience is a family atmosphere that stays with its members long aſter their playing days are over.
