In his second year as an assistant coach at Memphis, Robert Sausaman is coach- ing under the tutelage of his former coach, Richie Grant, at his alma mater, Memphis. Sausaman is responsible for coaching the defenders, a position which he played from 2005-08 as a Tiger.
Sausaman, who started 43 of his 67 appear- ances for U of M, was twice named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team and a three-time honoree as a member of the C-USA All-Academic Team. Aſter playing four seasons for Grant, Sausa- man understands the demands placed on the players by Grant and, he brings the same level of expectation to the pitch.
