Memphis freshman Paul Banks saw action in nine games for the Tigers. He logged a career-high 34 minutes against UIC and at- tempted his only shot in the Tigers' 3-0 win against FIU.
Banks played his prep soccer at local Christian Brothers High School, where he competed for former Tiger-standout Rogerio Lima. He earned multiple awards throughout his prep career, including being named to All-Metro and All-State teams. A two- time Commercial Appeal "Best of Preps" finalist, Banks was also named to the TSWA Division II All-State Team, joining current teammate Chandler Gagnon.
Banks participated in the Tennessee Olympic Development program and played his club soccer for coach Richard Butte and MidSouth FC. Putting his kicking skills to use off the soccer pitch, Banks served as the place kicker for one season for the CBHS football team. Banks is planning on becoming a Psychol- ogist aſter graduation.
