While playing in 1,651 minutes, the junior from Regensberg Germany recorded two goals, including the game-winner against Nebrask-Omaha, and two assists on the year. Guentner was instrumental in helping the U of M post six shutouts on the year, the most for a Mem- phis squad since the 2004 team recorded 10. Guentner is a strong, physical presence in the midfield for the U of M. While at Memphis, Guentner is majoring in international business and German and boasts a 3.89 GPA. The Confer- ence USA office recognized Guentner's academic and athletic achievements by naming him to the C-USA All-Academic Team.
