James "JO" Onikeku joined the Tigers' coaching staff in February 2011 aſter a nine-year stint at UT-Chattanooga. Onikeku was elevated associate head coach following the 2005 season and remained in that role until coming to Memphis. Onikeku brings in a wealth of defensive knowledge as he coached Lara Newberry to back-to-back National Libero of the Year awards at Chattanooga.
