Named a co-captain alongside Hajnalka Molnar, Altrese Hawkins was the most consistent offensive force for the Tigers in 2011. Named to the All- Conference USA first team for the second-straight season, Hawkins began the year by being named MVP of the Memphis Invitational aſter leading the Tigers to four-straight victories. Hawkins also joined two different elite clubs in the Memphis record books. The redshirt-junior became the 21st player in Memphis history to record 1,000 career kills and also just the sixth attacker to record 30 kills in a single match. She has also excelled in the classroom, holding a 3.66 GPA while double majoring in Psychology and Biology.
