Vesna Jelic, who transferred to the U of M from New Orleans in 2010 was one of six key junior contributors for the Tigers this season. She started the campaign in stellar fashion, helping Memphis win four-straight games and claim the tournament title at the Memphis Invitational. Jelic recorded 32 kills and 40 digs in four matches in the event, including a double-double of 11 kills and 13 digs in the championship match against Georgia State. Jelic picked up all-tournament honors at the UNC-Greensboro Spartan Spiketacular, where she tallied 23 kills and 34 digs while leading Memphis to the team championship. She finished the season with eight double- doubles, the second most on the team.
