Since 2003, three former Memphis volleyball players have reached the professional volleyball ranks in Europe. Brittany Barnett was the first of the trio to play pro volleyball when she signed to play for Club Alsina in Los Toldos, Buenos, Aires Argentina in 2004. Ashley Liford signed a professional contract with OK Koper Slovenia in 2008. Laura Côté is the latest former Tiger to take her talents to the next level, signing a pro volleyball contract to play with C.S.IOR Bucuresti of the Romanian A1 National Division in 2009.
