In 1985 founder Tom Julian made the transition from general contracting to the pursuit of his lifelong love for fine cabinetry and woodworking. Tom had followed his father's footsteps as a builder and now, Tom's own sons are following in his footsteps as master cabinetmakers. With Tom's background as a general contractor, and with his artistic vision enriched by extensive travels, the Julians have been able to take their work beyond just cabinet-making. They design and build complete environments, from custom furniture and cabinetry to the finished architectural milling and woodwork. Their work is then personally delivered, installed, and finished with hand-rubbed Danish oils. Using the same time-honored skills of Old World craftsmen, the Julians have completed astonishingly beautiful trophy rooms in homes and offices throughout the US. The woods in their projects may include American black walnut, bubinga, padauk, wenge, or other exotic hardwoods from Africa and around the world. While Julian & Sons' provides both design and consultation, they are team players, eager to work with architectural and design firms and of course, the homeowners and businessman who consign their services.
