Joya Spa is bliss central if you've overdone the
sun exposure. The 31,000-square-foot spa and
fitness center, with its own lap pool and juice-bar
terrace on the second floor, features at least five
yoga, Pilates and spin classes per day, plus sever-
al guided hikes in nearby hills. Using the spa
areas—including dry and steam saunas—
involves entering a relaxing hallway and gazing
into the 57-pound Joy of Purification quartz
crystal, said to absorb negative energies from
those who touch it. In addition to massages,
facials, and body treatments, Joya offers naturo-
pathic services such as acupuncture and home-
opathy, meditation sessions, tarot readings, flower
essence consults and other unique treatments.
For a light lunch or snacks, the Scottsdale
resort has Crave Cafe, sharing a patio and out-
door fireplace with the Joya Spa entrance. Crave
Large rooms and suites at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa offer breathtaking views
of desert mountains, tranquil pools, or soothing gardens.
The warm climate of Phoenix encourages guests to linger outdoors, and the resort is set up to easily allow this. Courtyards with comfortable
seating overlook the surrounding mountains, and fireplaces take the chill off nights to watch starry skies.
