July / August 2015 21 to get regular wax out of all openings under the hood. Hint: The hood jams should be waxed before you put your black panels and rain guard back on. 2c. Before starting on the trunk jams if you have a cabriolet you need to open the top enough for the rear cover to lift up to a 45 degree angle. (see picture) You want to start all way up the jam where it starts just behind the front door. This area is usually neglected so you need to get your toothbrush out and wrap the wash cloth around it covered in wax to clean this area. You need to wax all the way down to the spoiler (which needs to be up). If you have any black rubber plugs you can remove them, clean them and put them back in. The brake light housing will also need to be cleaned and waxed. Now it's time to clean the underside of the trunk lid. Use a finishing spray like you did on the hood. If you have a Boxster, you will need to clean the housing for the oil and antifreeze inlets. That should do it for all the jam areas. That will end The Cleaning Corner for this issue, next issue I will cover Extreme Detailing part 2. - SPENCER
