RETAILOBSERVER.COM OCTOBER 2015 58 B U Y I N G G R O U P N E W S NATIONWIDE ANNOUNCED CONTINUED GROWTH FOR HTSN Home Technology Specialists Nationwide (HTSN) announced today the addition of several dealers and vendors, continuing to grow their roster following a very successful show in Las Vegas during Nationwide's twice-annual PrimeTime! buy fair. With seven new member retailers joining the group, HTSN continues to showcase the power of the strategic alliance between HTSA and Nationwide Marketing Group. Hank Alexnder, director of HTSN, said, "HTSN has added additional vendor partners. TiO, IC Realtime, LibertyAV, CinemaTech & Vutec are now part of the HTSN vendor list, as the group continues to partner with vendors that will improve the mix of their specialty electronics retailers." Dennis Hardy, director of AV, of IC Realtime said, "The benefits of becoming partners with HTSN paid off immediately at the PrimetTime! event in Vegas. We were able to expand our market share by acquiring new partners within their group that may not have been available otherwise," said Hardy. "Additionally, the eagerness of the HTSN team to assist us in becoming successful with their members has jump started our mutual goals in a great direction." We are very pleased to have been accepted into the Nationwide family as a key vendor, said Rick Nealis, Nationwide sales manager for Vutec. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship." HTSN also announced the formation of their dealer advisory board, comprised of several of the groups' successful member retailers. The board will adopt key strategies from the HTSN vendors, technology forums, and continued education at buy fairs to help continue the custom install focus, thus guiding the direction of HTSN. The alliance between HTSA and HTSN enables both groups to continue utilizing each other's assets. For example, HTSN and Nationwide PrimeMedia attended the HTSA fall conference in Chicago on September 15-17 and met with members on their multimedia needs that can be produced in house by the PrimeMedia group. HTSN & HTSA will also both be present at CEDIA in Dallas this October. The two groups will co-host a cocktail party at the event on October 14th.
