When Pastner took over in April of 2009, there was a lot of uncertainty and "I don't know" feelings surrounding the program which, in some cases, can lead to a downward spiral fast. Undeterred by the overwhelming odds, Pastner preached a message of patience and positivity to Tiger Nation. And it's paid off. Three seasons later, the Tigers have won C-USA regular season and tournament crowns and played in three postseasons, including two NCAA Tournaments. In addition to the team's success, Pastner can lay claim as the winningest head coach for the first three seasons in Tigers history with 72 victories. BIO University of Memphis
