#11 WESLEY WITHERSPOON FORWARD/GUARD ATLANTA, GA. 2008-12
Senior Day. The last regular-season game for those seniors completing their careers is always special. The 2012 edition was no different for Preston Laird and Wesley Witherspoon – with a different twist.
In pregame ceremonies, Tiger Nation gave loud ovations for Laird and Witherspoon, both of whom stuck with the program through changes and ups-and-downs. The 2012 seniors, however, finished on a high, celebrating over 100 wins, four-straight postseasons, two C-USA regular season titles and three C-USA Tournament crowns.

Witherspoon had a solid showing in his final regular-season show on FedExForum's stage with 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals, while Laird netted a season-best three points. Witherspoon made his exit with 3:44 leſt, while Laird came out with 1:23 on the clock. But, unlike all seniors who are subbed and sit the remainder of the game, Laird wanted to go back in and he did, playing the final 44 seconds.
