DACOR REDISCOVERS THE LONG LOST
ART OF ALCHEMY
Alchemy, the ancient art of changing lead to gold,
has been rediscovered and perfected by Dacor
Celebrating 50 years of innovation, Dacor
®
, a Southern
California based manufacturer of ultra-premium kitchen
appliances, introduces the Dacor Alchemy™ series of color
infused stainless steel finishes. Consumers who once gravitated
toward stainless steel appliances can now move 'beyond
stainless' to create a high-end designer look in color.
"At Dacor, we have a strong history of consistently improving
our appliances with innovative technology and unique design,"
said Dacor CEO Chuck Huebner. "The addition of colored
metallic finishes offers a luxurious accent that designers,
architects and avid home chefs can appreciate."
Dacor Alchemy is a proprietary process employed to transform
each appliance or element into a stunning Alchemized accent
piece as an alternative to chrome plating, foundry metal, metallic
paint finishes, metal plating, vacuum metalizing and other metallic
processes. The Alchemizing process can be applied to a variety
of Dacor products including: ranges, cooktops, hoods and ovens
as well as a variety of accent pieces. This color series is not
painted metal, so it will never peel, flake or discolor due to high
cooking temperatures.
"We believe the true definition of luxury is personalization and
with Dacor Alchemy finishes, consumers can explore new design
accents," said Dacor President Steve Joseph. "These metallic
finishes create a style option for the kitchen to break away from
the crowd and make a personal style statement."
An extension of the DacorMatch™ Color System, Dacor
Alchemy finishes will be offered later in 2015 in four custom
colors including rose gold, nickel, copper and gunmetal. To learn
