November / December 2015 6 T his year has gone by so fast that it is hard to believe that we are shortly down to our last few events for the year. One of my favorite events coming up is the All German car show. We have a new location this year at 119th and Metcalf, that will make the event even better with more space. By the time you are reading this, you will be seeing the outcome of the event and certainly some great pictures. There are many events that lead to great opportunities to meet new people and get to see and appreciate cars that we don't often see, which always makes for a good time. I continue to be impressed by the new members that are showing up at events and catching the enthusiasm for the fun that we have in this Region. I appreciate those of you that make those contacts to Porsche owners to get them information about what the club is about and how they can join the fun. It never ceases to amaze me as to how many Porsche owners that are out there, that have no idea that there is a PCA Club. We need to reach out to those people and educate them oni the fun there is to be had. We had two new events this fall that were both great fun and very well attended. There was Oktoberfest at the home of Jim and Nancy Rand in Blue Springs and the second was the Fun Run to the Open house at the home of Bob and Connie Wollenman in St. Joseph. I cannot thank these wonderful people enough for opening their homes for these events to make these events happen. Changing subjects, I am very excited for our final event for the year and that is our annual Holiday Party. PLEASE mark your calendars if you have not done so already to make sure you make this great event. Just to remind everyone, the event will be held on Friday December 11th at Harvey's in Union Station. This will be a very nice way to celebrate the holiday season with your fellow club members and provide some good background for holiday pictures. We are hoping to have dry weather for this event, so that everyone can drive their Porsches for some hopeful opportunities to get some pictures of our cars with the background of the great location. Stand by for more on this event soon as we work out the details. From my first article this year, I have been talking about getting us all out in our cars more often and in fun ways. We have done a lot of events this year to try to keep that mantra and you all have responded to that. I ask you all to let those of us on the board know if you have a suggestion for an event of any type; you let us know and we will see what we can do to make that happen. This has been a very busy year and I thank all of you who came out and made these events so much fun and to get us out in our cars to enjoy them fully.
