Then Fred gave me the
bad news. The parade lap is
at 12:30 and we are supposed
to meet to sign waivers at
11:30. "So now it's very
tight, but we can make it",
Fred kept saying. "Maybe
we can make up some time
on the highway?" I needed a
Tums. Time was not on our
side.
