heads at the bottom of the tension cables
(see picture #2).
3. Below the top has extra fabric attached
to it and is connected to car with a clip on
each side; unclip these connections (see
picture #3).
4. Now that the bottom of the top is free
from the car, you can fold the rear part of
the top forward until you feel it engage.
This will open up the area above the engine
compartment. Before leaning over the car,
cover up the top of your fenders to protect
them.
5. Under the top you will find carpet with
four turn-locks. Most cars will have a
storage box on top of the carpet and the front
turn-locks will be on top of the box. Turn
and remove all four locks. If you have the
storage box, remove it first out to the rear.
If your car has speakers in the storage box,
you will have a electrical plug to disconnect.
To do this, press the securing levers at the
sides (the plug connection is fastened on the
outer right side of the roll-over bar). Now
remove the carpet (see picture #4).
6. Under the carpet you will see the actual
engine compartment lid. The lid will have 5
turn-locks holding it down; open all 5 locks
and carefully remove the compartment lid
(see pictures #5 & 6).
Now that the compartment lid is off, I
will start on how to clean the engine
compartment:
